Sample Answer:
One memorable time I rode a bicycle was last summer when I went on a cycling trip with my friends. We rented bikes and explored a scenic trail in the countryside.

The trail was surrounded by beautiful greenery and small streams, and the weather was perfect. We stopped at a few spots to take photos and have a picnic. It was a bit challenging at times, especially on the uphill sections, but we encouraged each other and managed to complete the trail.

I felt a great sense of accomplishment by the end of the day. It was refreshing to be in nature, and the experience brought us closer as friends. It also reminded me how enjoyable and rewarding cycling can be.

Part 3: Discussion (4–5 minutes)

1.What are the benefits of riding a bicycle?
Riding a bicycle is great for physical health because it’s a good form of exercise. It’s also environmentally friendly since it doesn’t produce pollution. Additionally, cycling can save money compared to driving a car or taking public transport.

2.Why do some people choose not to ride bicycles?
Some people avoid cycling because they find it inconvenient or unsafe, especially in areas without bike lanes. Others might feel it’s too physically demanding or prefer quicker modes of transportation.

3.How can cities encourage more people to ride bicycles?
Cities can build dedicated bike lanes to make cycling safer and more convenient. They can also introduce bike-sharing programs, offer subsidies for purchasing bicycles, and promote awareness of the health and environmental benefits.

4.Do you think bicycles will become more popular in the future? Why or why not?
I think bicycles will become more popular as people become more conscious of environmental issues and health. With better infrastructure and technology, such as electric bikes, cycling will likely attract more people.

5.What role do bicycles play in reducing traffic and pollution?
Bicycles take up less space on the road and don’t produce emissions, making them an excellent alternative to cars. If more people choose bicycles for short commutes, it can significantly reduce traffic congestion and air pollution in cities.
